Restaurant take-out FAQ
Will fiber clamshells hold up to hot, greasy food?
Yes. Our plant-fiber clamshells and boxes are grease resistant and made for hot or cold food. For very wet or saucy dishes, the PLA-lined 9×9×3 clamshell adds extra moisture resistance.
What should I use for soup?
NoTree® paper bowls (8, 12, 16 and 32 oz) handle hot soups up to 220°F. Pair them with the matching kraft lid for a snug fit on the way home.
Can I use the clear containers for hot food?
No. Clear PLA containers, cups and portion cups are for cold food only. For hot food, use fiber clamshells, NoTree® paper boxes and bowls, or fiber soufflé cups for hot sauces.
Do you have wrapped cutlery for delivery orders?
Yes. Our wrapped kit includes a TPLA fork, knife, spoon and napkin in one pack. If you serve New Jersey, the Skip the Stuff law requires utensils to be given out only when the customer asks.
How fast do you ship?
Orders ship within 2 business days from the Lehigh Valley, PA, with carbon-neutral shipping. We serve Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Delaware.
Where can these be composted?
These products are certified for commercial composting facilities, which aren't available everywhere. We can help you find composting options near your restaurant.
